Michael Smith, the Sunset Piper, returns to Southampton. On Fridays, he pipes down the sun, starting approximately 45 mins before sunset. Catch his performance at the Big Flag in Southampton. This incredible tradition is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Saugeen Shores Chamber members. For 2026, he will perform every Friday from June 12th to September 4th.
Playing the bagpipes for over 20 years, he has participated in this beautiful Southampton tradition for 22 years. He is a Bachelor of Science with honours graduate from the University of Guelph and graduated from his BScN nursing program at York University.
