Meet Kristin Gowan
When I was a kid, I remember going to Olan Mills in Kitchener multiple times to have professional portraits done. We only ever had 8x10 inch or smaller prints framed or in an album but it still made me feel special and loved. When my sister passed away in August of 2021 from brain cancer and being a breast cancer survivor myself, I realized even more so how important having these memories really are.
My goal has been to provide others with a full-service experience that may be ''old school'' to some, but the reality is the digital world is taking away the beauty of tangible artwork. We can hold them, frame them and hang them on the walls of our home. Showcase them in stunning heirloom albums to be passed down for generations. We can't touch a digital file and we never know how long before it is deleted or lost for good. Think of all the other technology that has become obsolete after the last several decades... but tangible artwork will never be one of them. Do we really only want our images as a screensaver or social media profile pic?
I have been capturing milestones of my family, kiddos and pets for the last 10 years and my walls are filled with memories. This is something I can honestly say I will never regret.
