This month at Hampton Hall we are featuring one of Canada’s most sought after drummers and percussionists, the talented and award winning Mark Kelso. Mark is also a singer, producer and composer. No surprise that this talented musician has been nominated three times as a leader with his own 2 groups The Jazz Exiles and The Chronicles of Fezzwig Project, and as a sideman has earned 4 Juno awards. Mark will be joined by Andy Harasymczuk, guitar; Jack McFadden, bass; John McLelland, piano (welcome to John M); Charlie Bell, tenor sax. Highlighted during the evening will be a few of Mark's original compositions and arrangements as well as some of his fav jazz standards eg. No More Blues, Dolphin Dance, Take the Coltrane, Killer Joe etc.. a fun and lively night for sure. Hope you can join us!
